TPW Scholarship Applications Now Available

The TPW Scholarship applications are now available to be given out to deserving women in Tangipahoa parish who are pursuing higher education and advancement in the workforce. I have attached the Scholarship Application and the Scholarship Recommendation form for your convenience. Please note that each applicant must provide two separate Recommendation Forms along with their application and other required information as outlined on the application.

We need your help to get the word out! Please feel free to print these documents and give to anyone you feel would be interested in applying for the TPW Scholarship (minimum Scholarship Award $1000). You may also direct anyone interested to the TPW website www.tangipw.org to download the forms and get more information about Tangipahoa Professional Women’s Organization.

Important Note: The applications and all required documents must bepostmarked by April 15, 2013 and mailed to TPW, P. O. Box 1630, Ponchatoula, LA 70454.

TPW Silent Auction at Women Mean Business

As an additional fundraiser for Women Mean Business, we will be holding a Silent Auction featuring gifts from local businesses and organizations. We only have a few items to date, so we are looking for more items that we can add to make it more fun for everyone who attends. Just think of how fabulous it will be if everyone contributed an auction item!

I hope you will consider donating an item to the silent auction ($25 value or more) This can be anything from jewelry to a restaurant or retail gift certificate to vacation vouchers. Feel free to donate an item that promotes your business.

Please let me know if you will be able to contribute. We will need a brief description of your item(s) so that people will know what they are bidding on (if it is not obvious by looking at it). The deadline for your donation is March 1, 2013.

Thank you for helping to make this event a huge success. I look forward to seeing you all there. Let the bidding begin!

TPW’s Women Mean Business attracted 350 businesswomen to Southeastern’s Twelve Oaks in March 2012. The upcoming 2013 Conference is expected to draw 200 women from across the Florida Parishes.
