I have been with Rosaryville Spirit Life Center for seven years, six of those years being the Director. In 2013 I started to explore the need for a public cemetery on Rosaryville’s grounds. In 2015 we established the public cemetery you see off Rosaryville Road today. I am now both Rosaryville Spirit Life Center Director, as well as, Rosaryville’s Public Cemetery Director.
In 2013 myself and staff established Rosaryville’s Nun Run. The Nun Run, 5K and 1mi fun run takes place each year on the Saturday before Mother’s Day. The Nun Run is Rosaryville’s biggest fundraiser.
Through the years as Director myself and staff have tripled the size of Camp Kateri. This summer we added additional space for overnight campers, added an extra week of camp and extended the age group for campers.
I moved to Ponchatoula fourteen years ago this fall. Community engagement is important to me, I served as past TPW President in years 2015-2016 and I am the incoming Ponchatoula Rotary President for years 2019-2020. I am moved by how close this community is. From my personal experience, I am touched by how everyone came together for myself and my family in our times of need. I love working for Rosaryville Spirit Life Center and the surrounding area. Rosaryville is so much more than a job to me.
