This will be the third year the organization will award scholarships. Any female residents of the parish entering higher education or those currently enrolled at a university, college, vocational school or technical college are welcome to apply.

“Last year, $8,000 was awarded to eight local students,” said Suzette Callais, TPW president-elect and current scholarship chair. “March 26th is the date for our conference, Women Mean Business, and all sponsorships collected will go towards the scholarship fund.”

TPW is proud of fostering connections between professionals and students who have been inspired to pursue their professional and academic goals.

April 15 is the deadline to submit completed applications for the 2015 scholarship.  For details concerning the TPW scholarship and to download the application, visit www.tangipw.org and click on TPW Scholarship.

TPW was developed in 2007 to foster communication and support in businesses for professional women. It later established the scholarship fund, which has contributed more than $18,000 to the educational and professional pursuits of Tangipahoa women.
